ringroadTraffic signal improvement works are due to start on the 26 October 2013 at the ring road/Stafford Street junction.

The aim of this refurbishment project is to enhance the condition of the junction, improve pedestrian safety, and upgrade the site to LED signals to improve energy efficiency.

The Council expects that the works will take two weeks to complete, starting on the 26 October 2013 during the first week of the school half term period to reduce congestion.
The permanent traffic signals will be replaced by four way temporary traffic signals for the duration of the works, and the signal crossings will not be in operation during the upgrade.
