We are asking people to join us in strenuously object to this proposal – Daisy Bank Community Centre is the focal point of the local community; it is in constant use by a wide variety of groups. Daisy Bank Gateway club is a registered charity providing leisure activities for adults with learning disabilities, it has been running for over twenty years. We rely on the Community Centre to store our resources and put on our indoor activities from craft to indoor sports or gardening. Some of our members have autism but know Daisy Bank and are comfortable there; the building is accessible for those using wheelchairs and sticks.
To close Daisy Bank Community Centre would rip the heart of of Bradley and cause damage to the community.
I hope that this consultation period will be genuine and that decisions taken will be reflective of the needs and wishes of the community.
Please get in touch with your local councillors and let your views be known, thank you.
