Hi all, Wolverhampton Central Youth Theatre is running a new short ESF funded project called ‘Our Town’. It is only running until September and offers unemployed people (not on the Work Programme) ‘Creative’ training in researching the Retail History of Wolverhampton. Clients will learn : Research Skills, How to Design an Exhibition and work as part of a team. Through the work they will gain skills in interviewing members of the public. It is a lovely project and would look really good on Client CVs and anyone taking part will learn about the retail history of our town and take part in teamwork and confidence building activities as well as gaining IT and interview skills training.
Who can apply?
Our Town is open to everyone, regardless of previous experiences or qualifications, but you must be 18 or over, unemployed or economically inactive and not on the government’s ‘Work Programme’ to take part. You are allowed to be employed and working up to 8 hours per week part time alongside volunteering on this project.
Dates: This project will run from April to September 2013.
If you think you have any Clients/Volunteers who might be interested then please give Joe Twilley at the Youth Theatre a ring (01902 572091) or email : firstname.lastname@example.org.
