New rules which came into force on 7th May 2019 mean that EEA nationals whose only right to live in the UK is on grounds that they have been here for less than three months or they are here as a jobseeker or as a person who has ‘pre-settled status’ are not entitled to Universal Credit, Income-related ESA, Income-based JSA, Pension Credit, Child Benefit, Child Tax Credit and/or Housing Benefit.  The new rules also make it clear that these groups are not eligible to housing and homeless services.
