Transgender Day of Remembrance 2013 (TDOR) – Wednesday 20th
The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), which occurs annually on the 20th
November, is a day to remember those who have been killed as a result of antitransgender
violence, and to act to bring attention to the continued violence
endured by the transgender community.
Trans*/Fest (LGBT Centre Birmingham) Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November
Trans*/Fest includes Film, Workshops, Debate, Speakers and Cabaret and takes place on 22/23rd November 2013 at the new LGBT Centre in Birmingham, November 23 2013 10am – 4.30pm An action packed day of workshops, debates, and exhibition, talks and networking for anyone who identifies as being on the trans* spectrum, with the aim of celebrating the trans* community, including a talk on Trans History & Activism by Laura Miles and A talk about Clinic Q in London from Michelle Ross. November 23 2013 7.30pm – late Bar Jester, Holloway Circus, Birmingham An fabulous line up of talent from the LGBT community including cabaret, comedy, burlesque, music and performance. The event is free, but please give generously on the door to support Birmingham LGBT’s trans* support groups
