It’s all about you is an activity day, so why not take part, it’s free, and we can assist with transport costs.
It’s all about you is about the future, and increasing choice and control in the lives of people in Dudley who use Adult Care, who fund their own support or receive a personal budget.
Never done wheelchair basketball, then give it a go with Rhinos Sporting Club. It’s not easy being understood when you have a learning disability, get yourself heard and write a poem with Sara Gorman.
Write a lyric to a song with one man band Robin Surgeoner. Meet a goat & tell people about it using social media with Dudley Cil and Hay Farm a project that provides meaningful daily activities for young adults with Autism and complex learning needs in a unique rural working and living environment.

Take part in the disability history quiz and find things out, like Volunteering with Dudley CVS, tailored support to gain work with Beacon employment. Help draw a big picture capturing the day and what people say. Don’t forget to take home a photograph of yourself, and the people you meet.
Maybe you attend a group and do a regular activity but now want to move on, or do something else as well but are not sure how. Together we can identify gaps in provision and find like minded people to support new activities.
Dudley CIL have also asked micro providers and social enterprise who provide new services to attend the day and show you what they do.
When possible we have chosen disabled people to run the activities. They are inspiring people, showing why it is important to have more disabled people leading and taking part in the community.
If you are an individual, Dudley CIL is a user led disabled people’s organisation, an open door welcoming everyone. Why not volunteer, if you want to support disabled people to lead fuller lives and improve the use of the limited resources and services that are available.
If you are an organisation, talk to us about how Dudley CIL can improve the experience of disabled people using your service, widening them out to the community. We can help with making your service more innovative and responsive to the wishes of individuals, broadening horizons, raising aspirations and breaking down the barriers between them and the community.
Our goal is to demonstrate the benefit of disabled people leading and participating in user led activities in the community. We are independent and can facilitate user led activity, supporting groups to form, govern themselves and deliver their own projects and activities.
Dudley Cil want to be a catalyst for service providers to work together better, maximise resources to the benefit of disabled people, and support economic growth in the sector. Can we make space for new transactions, and services to happen, be they paid for, voluntary, or people exchanging goods and services with one another, without the need for money.
We welcome your views and look forward to meeting you. If you can not attend the event but want to talk or meet please contact Dudley CIL. Finally, if you want to help on the day please contact us.
