brum airportBirmingham Airport offers facilities to support passengers through their journey whatever their requirements. For special assistance, this needs to be arranged in advance by contacting OCS the special assistance providers.  

enableEnable-Solihull has been working with Birmingham Airport and OCS to improve this service and there will initially be 10 part-time work opportunities for disabled people to assist at the Help Desk in the airport supporting the passengers who need special assistance on a “peer to peer” basis.  It is anticipated that people will be working over the busy lunchtime period between 11am and 3pm but the hours worked and days worked will be negotiated separately to accommodate individual requirements.

Expression of interest

 

OCS currently operates a contract at Birmingham airport to support Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM). Enable-Solihull has been working with Birmingham Airport and OCS to enhance the service for people requiring special assistance and as part of this service a number of part-time vacancies for people with disabilities will become available to support staff on the Help Desk where PRM passengers are welcomed and their requirements confirmed.

 

Full training and support will be provided for this role and for those who would like more information about this role and what it entails there will be an open day at Birmingham Airport where your questions will be answered.
