Not content with apparently leading the way in policing their disability parking to make sure it’s not abused, Asda are going one step better – they have announced that they are going to start selling walking sticks and wheelchairs in their supermarkets – it’s nice to see these items demedicalised, and easier to get – it is an irony that items supposed to improve accessibility are not particularly easy to access.

But soon we’ll be able to get carrots, a dvd player, and some handrails for the bathroom – all in one shop.

And we’ll be able to park in the Blue Badge spaces by the door, if we need to.
