The Care Quality Commission has published its third annual report on the state of health and adult care in our nation.
The report is divided into four main sections:
- The shape of health and social care provision
- Access to care services
- Choice and control
- Quality and safety
It also includes case studies looking at how improvements in standards have been made by services and how our regulatory work has helped drive these improvements.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who has a dream to support thpeople in their community but doesn’t know how to go about it.
It will help you to understand what needs to be in place for you to create a voluntary group from scratch, or strengthen a small informal group that is ready to grow.
This practical short course will provide participants with:-
* Knowledge of what a voluntary/community organisation is.
* Awareness of how to create a new organisation and the choices involved.
* Understanding of what groups must have in place.

‘Hidden in plain sight’, the final report of the EHRC inquiry into disability-related harassment was published on 12th September.
The report unsurprisingly concludes that harassment is a commonplace experience for disabled people, and at the same time institutions like police, housing and councils often dont believe harassment is taking place or don’t tackle it effectively.
